ABOUT SHIPPING and HANDLING
The shipping charges listed on this website are estimated costs.  When your actual charge is calculated here at The Silver Thistle, it will include the true shipping cost.  If the shipping charge is greater than the estimated amount on the web page, you will be contacted by e-mail before we proceed with your order.

We will ship in-stock items within 2-3 business days via UPS ground.  Please allow 3-8 business days for delivery.  Unfortunately at this time we are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes.  It may be necessary to order out of stock items, in which case the time could be from two to eight weeks.  For any deviation from the norm, you will be notified by e-mail.

Please keep in mind that holiday shipping usually takes longer and plan accordingly.  If you wish express service, please call or e-mail The Silver Thistle.

 

ABOUT MERCHANDISE DAMAGED IN SHIPPING
Every order is inspected and carefully packed.  If you receive damaged merchandise, follow the steps listed below:

• All claims for broken defective or damaged merchandise must be made within 5 days of receipt of said merchandise.  Please call The Silver Thistle to report any claims (434-384-3882).
• All packing materials must be kept regardless of apparent damage to packaging.
• Under the following conditions, no replacement or credit will be issued:
  • The request was not made within 5 days of receipt of merchandise.
  • The item is returned without an outer carton.
  • The item is returned without original box and paperwork.
  • The original shipping carton for the UPS inspector was not kept.

ABOUT DROP SHIPPING
We are more than happy to arrange drop shipping for you, if the manufacturer offers such a service.  This could involve a shipping fee plus a drop ship fee which is determined by the manufacturer.

 

ABOUT FREIGHT COLLECT
Oversized items that UPS cannot deliver may need to be shipped freight collect.  Charges will vary depending on the size of the item and the distance it has to travel.  The Silver Thistle also has names of reputable furniture deliverers and can make recommendations to you.

 

ABOUT MONOGRAMMING
We can monogram your item for you if you like but will need the following information:

How many initials on the monogram (usually one to three)

Block or Script text

The initials to use on the monogram

Once you place your order, contact us regarding the order and to arrange for monogramming.
