Wendt and Kuehn was the brain child of Grete Wendt, who, in 1915, founded her own woodworking studios in the heart of Germany, in the small mountain village of Grunhainichen. For more than 90 years, the workshops of Wendt and Kuehn have been busily making heavenly little handpainted wooden figurines. Cinderella, another in the Fairytale Series, is sure to delight the child in all of us especially in this version before the ball! The expert woodturners, gluers, sanders and painters still produce all the figures by hand, fully continuing the graceful tradition so prevalent in Grete's time.
